Irene Kapogianni received her dental degree (DDS) at the School of Dentistry in the Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece and continued her postgraduate professional education at the Department of Orthodontics, Heinrich Heine University of Dusseldorf. She worked as a research associate at the University of Dusseldorf and her main research interest is focused on Class III treatment using skeletal anchorage devices (TADS). Moreover, her current research project entitled "Effects of coupling of orthodontic mini implants on their primary stability" is the topic of her doctorate degree (Dr. med. Dent.).
She has lectured on various orthodontic subjects including temporary anchorage devices in Europe. Currently she works in the private orthodontic clinic in Dusseldorf.
